A Story of Resilience and Courage
There’s a reason Incey Wincey Spider has been loved for generations — it’s simple, catchy, and quietly powerful. At Hamish & Clyde, we’ve taken this timeless nursery rhyme and turned it into a meaningful little adventure filled with music, character, and a gentle life lesson.

In our version, Clyde the curious (and slightly dramatic!) mouse isn’t too sure about the spider. In fact, when he first sees it climbing up the water spout, he immediately assumes danger. But Hamish, calm and reassuring as always, encourages Clyde to watch more closely.
As the rain comes pouring down and washes the spider away, children experience a moment of tension — will the spider give up? Clyde certainly thinks so. But when the sun comes out and the spider begins climbing again, everything changes.
This is where the magic lies.
Without being overly educational, children are introduced to the idea of resilience — that setbacks are part of the journey, and trying again is what matters most. It’s a powerful message delivered in a way that feels natural and engaging.
Beyond the story, this rhyme supports:
Early language development through repetition
Listening and rhythm skills
Emotional understanding (fear, reassurance, persistence)
Hamish & Clyde bring this to life with a balance of calm guidance and playful chaos — making it both comforting and entertaining.
